When you bet, everything is important.
On the Bets.ai blog you’ll find articles that aim to nuance the contexts in which you make your choices.
It seems self-evident, but many don’t get it: a bet is a bet. And only the brave bet. Only the brave win. I wrote brave, not foolhardy. Risk is a business that can be managed intelligently. And more to the point: risk is a business that can be managed intelligently if you know the world you live in. That’s what we’re trying to do here: remember the world we live in.
The steps
That’s why we’re writing about the games of the matchday that just ended. To understand what may come next, you need to know what came before. Tomorrow stands for today, just as today stands for yesterday. The recent past determines the immediate future.
At the same time, the historical past is important. When two teams play football, not just those two teams play football. History is also playing. Tradition plays too. Also the egos and legends that the clubs have passed from one generation to the next can be decisive.
Teams
We will also write about the teams that catch our attention. The teams that are the revelations of the day, such as Arsenal in England, but also teams that have disappointed.
We’ll write about teams that shine, but also about teams that have lost their shine, trying each time, with honesty and clarity, to understand how they got here. How and why.
Footballers
We’ll also write about footballers because the show is made by the footballers, because we watch football because there are footballers, because, as anyone who watches football knows, scoring goals is the greatest job in the world and writing about them is the second greatest job in the world. We’re happy to have the second. We’ll write about footballers of today, footballers who we think will be great tomorrow, but also footballers of yesterday or the day before – because the game is not only about now, but, as I said, also about eras a little further back.
Who can look at AS Roma, for example, and not see the back of Francesco Totti in his gladiator’s jersey at the 2001 title? Who else has worn the jersey of all the Italian greats, Juventus, Milan, Inter, as well as Roberto Baggio? Maybe Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The fights
Finally, we will write about the battles at the top of the four big leagues. The battles are exciting – for the title (who can stop Real, who can stop PSG?) and for qualification for the European cups.
And, no less exciting, are the battles to avoid relegation (will Sampdoria, a Serie A legend, capable only thirty years ago of playing in a Champions Cup final, relegate?).
Courage and intelligence
When you watch the phenomenon and when you bet, everything is important. Everything is worth seeing, writing, reading, and understanding. That’s right: when you bet everything is important.
The game is like this: you need courage to bet and intelligence to win. But everything, absolutely everything, is important, very important.
