The ’24-’25 season starts at Bets.ai with the 14th round of La Liga. Artificial intelligence has studied the first thirteen rounds, has drawn valuable conclusions and is ready to predict the chances of each team.
At first glance, from a statistical point of view, this season is similar to the one that ended in May 2024: not many goals are scored (most matches are and will end with Under 2.5 goals), and the hosts get the victory in over 46% of the matches. FC Barcelona, however, is performing better than last season, winning most of the matches and is currently first in the standings. The only vulnerabilities they show are in away matches where they either open the scoring and win the game, or they go 1-0 down and then lose (see the matches against Sociedad, Osasuna, but also the Uefa Champions League meeting with AS Monaco). On Saturday in Vigo, they will only win if they open the scoring.
Real Madrid’s attack is crowded with stars, has an ace squad, big plans for the future, but for the moment fails to dominate their away matches. On Sunday at Leganes, it would not surprise us if ”los blancos” mess up again. Our suggestion at first glance, before consulting the odds the artificial intelligence will give us, is a simple bet that both teams will score.
Atletico Madrid doesn’t play spectacularly, but efficiently. “Los colchoneros” will win again this round against Alaves and keep their position on the podium of the Spanish topflight. The pleasant surprise of the start of the season is the return to the top 4 of Villareal, a team that finished 8th last season. The ”yellow submarine” players have so far fared better away (4w-1d-1l) than at home (3w-2d-1l) and start as favorites in Pamplona where they will be meeting Osasuna, currently in 5th place. In the last two seasons Villareal have not lost any of their four meetings against Osasuna, winning three and drawing once.
Round 14 closes on Monday night with the Basque derby between Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad, a match that will not see many goals, but who has the potential to put the winner back in the fight for 4th place. The other games of the 14th round will see Getafe (most draws: 7/13) against Valladolid (most defeats: 8/13), Valencia vs Real Betis (20th-placed Valencia have two games less played), Girona vs Espanyol (the Catalans are the worst away team this season: 0w-1d-5l), Sevilla vs Rayo Vallecano, respectively places 13 and 12, in another match in which the spectators and viewers will not see many goals and Las Palmas against Mallorca, last season’s draw results champions Mallorca having no draws so far in their away matches this season (3w-0d-3l).
